Hydraulic Oil Reservoir
Hydraulic oil reservoir is located on the left-hand side of the chassis. Capacity of tank is 57.7 liters (15.25 gal). Tank contains return oil filter, two suction strainers, breather cap and drain plug. There are two sections. Oil is drawn from front section of tank and is returned to rear section of tank. Holes in divider allow oil to flow from return side to suction side.
Oil is drawn from gear pump suction screen and flows to gear pump. Oil not used for steering is routed out Excess Flow (EF)-port to three-spool control valve. Oil returning from valve is routed through oil cooler and then back to rear section of oil reservoir.
