STORAGE
Preparation for Storage
The operations to place a machine into storage
(-15oC to 44o C) are given below.
2Switch off the engine. Operate controls to releasepressure from the rams.
3Disconnect battery to prevent discharge.
4Ensure the fuel tank is filled to a maximum, leavingno air space.
5Ensure hydraulic tank is filled to maximum on thesight gauge.
6Spray exposed ram rods with Waxoyl.
7Slacken off rubber tracks until no visible spring
tension exists.Preparation after Storage
The operations to remove a machine from storage
(-15oC to 44o C) and prepare it for use are given below.
1Lower the fuel level to ensure that sufficient air spaceexists in the tank.
3Ensure the battery is fully charged.
4Reconnect battery.
5Remove electrical contact from fuel injection pumpsolenoid.
6Crank engine for 15 seconds or until oil pressurewarning light goes out.
7Reconnect electrical supply to the fuel injectionpump solenoid.
8Start the engine. If the engine fails to start afterseveral attempts, bleed the fuel system.
9Adjust track tensions.
10Grease all lubrication points.1 -
