Manual Extract: HYDRAULIC PUMPS
There are three hydraulic pumps on the MX-C range of tractors.
1. Transfer Pump
This small pump operates at very low pressure to transfer oil which collects in the PTO housing and is unable to drain through into the main part of the transmission. It transfers oil into the centre section of the transmission where the main suction screen is located.
This pump allows the transmission to operate more efficiently with a lower oil level for less oil drag and reduced power loss.
2. Charge/Lubrication Pump
The charge/lubrication pump is used to supply the main PFC pump to prevent cavitation. This pump also supplies all the lubrication and cooling requirements of the transmission.
The pump draws oil from the transmission housing through a 30 micron suction screen and delivers it to the main pressure filter.
Pump flow rate at 2200 rpm is:-
136 liter/min
34 US gal/min
3. PFC Pump Unit
This unit includes an axial piston pump which has a variable flow output and can operate at a variable pressure. A pump control valve automatically controls the PFC pump flow and pressure.
Pump flow rate at 2200 rpm is:-
102 liter/min
27 US gal/min
Hydraulic Pipe Seals
All hydraulic lines are equipped with 0-ring face seals to ensure reliable, vibration resistant connections.
