Manual Extract: Fuel Prefilter
1. Open the right-hand side rear access door to locate the fuel prefilter cartridge (1).
2. Close the fuel shut off valve (2) to prevent fuel leakage.
3. Clean the outside of the fuel prefilter cartridge (1), fuel prefilter cartridge head (3) and remove any dirt and debris around the area that might contaminate the system.
4. Disconnect the wire harness (4) and remove the fuel prefilter cartridge (1).
5. Apply a thin layer of clean oil to the gasket on the new fuel prefilter cartridge (1).
6. Install and tighten the new fuel prefilter cartridge (1) by hand. Tighten the filter 1/2 to 3/4 turn after the filter cartridge gasket makes contact with the prefilter head (3).
7. Reconnect the wire harness (4).
8. Open the fuel shut off valve (2) and check for leaks.
