The track must not be full of mud and debris. If necessary, operate the machine on a hard surface to remove the mud and debris.
1. Put the machine in position so that a pin in the chain is over the carrier roller.
2. Put the weight of your body on the track between the carrier roller and the idler to make sure that the track is at maximum deflection.
3. Put a straightedge on the track plates. Measure the track deflection. The track deflection must be 1 to 1-3/8 inch (25 to 35 mm).
4. If the track deflection is not correct, adjust the track as necessary.
5. To tighten the track:
a. Remove the plug from the track adjuster.
