On one side, high pressure is monitored immediately, even before Diesel engine RPM drops significantly. On the other side, the pressure holding valve 35 keeps control pressure at a certain level, avoiding constant pressure build-ups from zero. The temperature compensation valve maintains the horsepower control adjust­ment at the proper setting regardless of ambient temperatures.\u003cbr\u003eOil flow from the replenishing pump also regulates the horsepower control valve.
