It is the function of the fuel injector to direct a metered quantity of fuel received from the injection pump to the combustion chamber. Each charge of fuel must be delivered into the combustion chamber with a definite spray pattern to insure complete combustion and efficient engine performance.\u003cbr\u003eIMPORTANT: The injector body and valve is a mated assembly, accurately lapped to a very close fit for precise metering of fuel to each cylinder. The body or valve cannot be installed individually for service.
